Pet Travel Story: Maxwell and Olly Move to Thailand
An airline strike in the middle of a pet's trip?
It's a situation we've encountered before. Although events like these are uncommon, it's something our expert client care teams are equipped and ready to handle. Read Lauren's experience below.
I was so incredibly stressed out about moving my dogs from LA to Bangkok. One of my dogs can be very nervous and mistrusting of strangers and I was worried about all the risks involved.
Katy Hearne-Church was my coordinator and she reassured me every step of the way that the dogs were in good hands. They flew from LA to Frankfurt and on the day they were supposed to depart for Bangkok, the airline employees decided to go on strike. Katy worked tirelessly to get my dogs on a flight the next day before Bangkok's Thai New Year. She had Lufthansa send pictures of the dogs at Frankfurt and constantly reassured me that it was one of the best places for pet comfort stops.
It was such a stressful experience and I can't imagine what I would have done if I had tried to do this myself. It would have been an absolute logistical nightmare. The pups got on a flight the next day and Katy was tracking them the entire time. I was constantly updated and reassured that everything would work out. Katy treated our dogs as if they were her own. I will definitely be using PetRelocation when the time comes to move again. It was worth every penny.
