Dog Travel to Spain: Lilly and Ruby’s Move to Valencia
Incredible Experiences: "Our Big Move to our New Home"
Once we knew we were moving, we searched for someone to help us move Lilly and Ruby. It was going to be stressful enough moving ourselves without worrying about having the right crate, the right paperwork, and organizing their flights.
So I reached out to PetRelocation, and from the initial contact with Catie, she answered my inquiry promptly and sent me lots of clear and concise information and then followed up with a phone call to go over the exact details.
Onto the actual travel coordinator Sandhya, who answered my many questions about who, when and how. They basically answered everything I could think of and some things that I hadn't. They walked me through every single step of what I had to do and what they would be doing.
We left ahead of the dogs to get settled and situated. The day of the dogs travel arrived, they were collected promptly from their kennels by the agent, who had their crates and paperwork, then taken to the airport where pictures were taken and sent to us so that we could see their waggy tails before their plane journey.
We were kept informed for each leg of their journey and again during their final car ride from the airport to our apartment.
We were a little concerned about how they would adjust to living in an apartment with a small balcony rather than a house with a yard, but so far they seem to have managed it just fine. A large part of this I'm sure is due to the care and ease of their travel.
Valencia is a very dog friendly town, with lots of sidewalk cafes and restaurants at which dogs are welcomed and encouraged.
I would highly recommend PetRelocation for anyone who is moving with their fur babies.
