What to Know About Bringing Dogs and Cats to Bahrain

Bahrain Pet Import Rules and Requirements

Bringing your beloved pets to Bahrain requires careful planning and adherence to import regulations. At PetRelocation, we're here to guide you through this process to ensure a successful and stress-free move for your furry friends.

Pets arriving in Bahrain must travel via manifest cargo, and requirements vary based on the departure country. When relocating from the United States, pets need up-to-date rabies and other vaccines, such as Distemper for dogs and Feline Rhinotracheitis for cats. While not mandatory, we recommend microchipping for all traveling pets.

To help your pet feel at ease during the journey, we emphasize the importance of crate training. We suggest introducing your pet to the travel crate well in advance to help them become comfortable and reduce anxiety on the travel day. Additionally, consider the weather and climate in Bahrain when planning your pet's travel, as extreme temperatures can affect pet safety during transport.

Our team of specialists is ready to assist you in obtaining an Import Permit, Health Certificate and ensuring all vaccination requirements are met. With our expertise, you can enjoy peace of mind as you embark on this exciting new chapter in Bahrain. Whether you have a dog, cat, or furry companion, we're here to help you navigate the logistics and provide personalized support for a smooth relocation experience.
