Pet Travel Question: Moving Pets to Australia

We will be relocating to Adelaide Australia in a few months and will bring our dog with us. I guess what I need to know is a step by step procedure of what I need to do to ensue a smooth import for our dog. Or if you can advise any pet relocation services in Malta that take care of all that, would be helpful.
