Do you know if it possible to take racing pigeons over to Australia, or is this too much of a health risk?

Thanks for your question. Unfortunately it doesn't seem that racing pigeons may be brought to Australia from South Africa at this time. Australia has strict import rules when it comes to bringing animals into the country; currently only certain species of birds may be imported, and they may only be admitted from New Zealand.
