Dog Travel from Switzerland to the United States

Dear PetRelocation,

We have been in Switzerland since July 11, 2013 and before that were in Spain since January. We travel to the USA on December 5 with our Caniche Toy who just turned a year old. We'll be traveling from Switzerland to the USA.

She has been vaccinated against rabies twice, with the last vacine in Spain on 03/03/2013. The first one was in Argentina where she was born, and we were there for just a month.

My question is, is it necessary for the dog to have the Rabies Titer test.? What about any other tests?

Sounds like your dog is quite a traveler! The good news for you is that despite your history, all you need to worry about are the pet import requirements for the United States.

Looking over them, you'll see that a titer test is not necessary; you just need an up to date rabies vaccine and a health certificate stating your dog is fit to fly.
