Hi PetRelocation,
I have been looking at your website and see no mention or photos of anything except dogs and cats. Do you relocate birds? Also, do you ensure no quarantine in Hawaii? (We have begun blood tests, rabies, etc. process.)
Thanks,
Julia
Hi Julia,
Thanks for your question! We definitely move pets other than cats and dogs -- meet Mr. Bubbles, a cockatoo moving to Mexico, and Bean, Sprout, Alfie and Flynn. You can also read about Kobe, a green-cheeked conure who moved from South Africa to the United States who we recently featured as our Pet Move of the Month.
But back to your question: as you know, traveling with pets to Hawaii is something that requires very careful planning, especially if you want to avoid quarantine. According to the State of Hawaii Animal Industry Division, pigeons may enter required they meet certain standards and they do not need to complete the seven day pre-arrival isolation period.
Shipping birds can be tricky, but again, we have helped many feathered friends move across the world with their owners. With a few more details, we can tell you more about what to expect from the bird travel process and determine if quarantine will be required.
We would be happy to discuss your status and options with you based on what you've done so far in terms of vaccines, etc. Please give our office a call (1-877-PET-MOVE) or fill out our pet travel consultation form to connect to a Specialist.
Thanks again for reaching out and we hope to hear from you soon!
