Pet owners often find themselves in a tricky position when relocating. Specifically, when families must move ahead of their pets, either due to quarantine considerations or just normal complicated logistics, they find themselves in need of a "pet hotel" or boarding facility to fill in the gaps.
In our daily work of moving pets all over the world, we've discovered lots of great pet boarding facilities, and when we find another one we like to share the details with our fellow pet lovers.
In the past we told you about top-notch cat boarding options in Shanghai and San Francisco, and today we're spotlighting The Phat Cat Inn near Vancouver, British Colombia. This facility offers spacious rooms with scratching posts, natural light, therma-rest beds and a health-promoting ventilation system.
We're helping a four-cat family move to New Zealand from Canada (this is their third move with us!), and as soon as the cats had a chance to settle in at Phat Cat, the staff sent us a few pictures to let us know how they were doing.
Not only is it important to seek out friendliness and good customer reviews when choosing a pet hotel, transparency and tech-savviness go a long way, as well. It looks like Tufty Toes, Pippin, Jesse and Rufty are doing great so far at this accommodating stopover, and we can't wait to keep up with them during the rest of their stay.
Do you have a pet boarding facility that has impressed you? Tell us about it!
